Great product, some bits needed a mallet and block to click into place but overall very easy to install as long as the base is level.
David Richardson (verified owner) –
I have given a 4* rating because, although the base is very easy to put together, removing the plastic pegs and inserting them into the locating holes is not so easy. A pair of small snips is recommended to remove them and a hammer to insert them properly – it is impossible to fit them using finger pressure (As shown in the instructions) alone. Perhaps a change should be made to the instructions to incorporate this information.
Apart from this small observation I am very pleased with my purchase – many thanks!

Excellent product.
Andrew C. (verified owner) –
Overall the quality was ok, except the clips were a nightmare to fit (they didn’t fit) so resorted to strong cable ties like many other people have.
Also getting the ground level was tricky, but all seems worth it.

Quick and easy to use.

The shed base is very sturdy, even without the gravel infill. It slots together easily and was assembled in no time. The hardest part was making the ground level for the shed base to go on.
David M. (verified owner) –
Kit easy to use. Would definately use again.

An excellent product. We used 10mm pea shingle on our 10 x 8 base. By the time you put some underneath to level the ground (the most difficult yet important part as others have also said), and then to allow enough to fill a good number of the grid squares, you need a fair amount of pea shingle: we used an entire builder’s dumpy bag (840kg). Laying the grids is a doddle and, as far as I can see, this is a much simpler, easier and cheaper alternative to a concrete base.

Nice easy to use product, but I must stress the preparation of the surface its going onto needs to be almost level, any discrepancies can take a lot of gravel to right. My ground was badly out of level before I started, so I had an uphill struggle from the start. I found it best to make up a single row, level it both ways then add se ond strip and so on. As I’m only putting a relatively small shed on it, I didn’t really need to fill it all with gravel, but as I had plenty from another project, I pretty much filled it;this mad a significant difference to the solid Ness of base, plus the fact I had fairly uneven ground to start with, about 100mm difference, corner to corner of a 6 x 5 base kit.
Overall very pleased with it.

great alternative to concrete base

Ordered 10 x 8 however a couple of inches short so no overhang

Slightly smaller than 10×8 – Actually 3mx2.5m. Weed membrane slightly narrower than shed base. Does the job, though.
Joy (verified owner) –
Pleased with the product which was placed on well-dug and ‘spirit-levelled out’ foundation. Use the provided membrane, sharp sand and pea gravel to complete the base checking the levels throughout.
Ian H. (verified owner) –
Easy to lay, easy to clip together, really rigid when finished. Filled it with pea gravel. Brilliant.
Cath (verified owner) –
Quick delivery and easy to assemble
Bob T. (verified owner) –
Much cheaper than alternative bases

This is a quality product. Pretty straightforward to assemble. The locking tabs can be hard to push into place if it’s cold outside, but really easy when it’s warm and sunny. I found it quite difficult to get the ground level prior to laying the membrane and base grids. I followed the instructions and watched the tutorial video and it was still tricky. Perseverance prevailed and I’m happy with the finished result. I had to work to quite tight tolerances for flatness from the shed manufacturer/installer as regards an acceptable base. I managed to achieve it using this system. I’d just recommend you take your time and keep checking your levels all the time throughout the job.
Angus Race (verified owner) –
Found the base excellent to lay and level using 10mm pea gravel.VERY STRONG and stable and minor adjustments to level having filled with gravel then gently levering with a spade under the base under level attained. I am 75 and this system allowed me to do a 10×8 base without any assistance which would NOT have been possible with paving slabs or concrete.
Only little grouse is base is 3ins less than 10ft.
